Sustainable
Sustainability
It is well known that the world is changing, and that fossil fuels are becoming scarcer. Unfortunately, too few companies take this into account when they plan their business processes. At Vlasman Sloopwerken, this understanding has gotten through. Sustainable demolition appeals to sustainable enterprise. This means caring for the environment while maintaining the profitability of the business and considering employment opportunities and society. Partly because of this, Vlasman has incorporated this sustainable form of doing business into the total business process.
People often laugh at first when they hear the term “Sustainable Demolition”. After all, this would seem to be a contradiction. Demolition does certainly not promote the lifespan (sustainability) of an object, and sustainable and demolition just don’t sound good together. But what if we told you that during and after demolition by Vlasman, 95% of the materials and resources can be reused. Then it suddenly becomes a lot more interesting. For example, rubble can be crushed and used in road building, and you can also think of the skilled dismantling of piping, wood, doors and windows. These can be directly or indirectly reused elsewhere.
The real proof of this is that Vlasman Sloopwerken is BRL SVMS 007 certified. Vlasman Sloopwerken has already executed a large number of projects in this way. Please refer to this page for more information regarding these projects.
