Thyssen Group Stall To this day, the Ruhr region is associated with industry, pollution, coal and steel. This is not entirely unjustified, because the basis for the Ruhr region was laid by these particularly polluting industries over 200 years ago. But the glory days of the coal and steel industries are decades behind us. Where previously there was conveyor belt sorting, coal heaps many metres high and thousands of Germans at work, today people take walks and ride bikes. Former industrial complexes have been converted into particularly beautiful cultural locations.

Vlasman removed 60 grain silo's in Kuwait

Kuwait demolitionOn order of Kuwait Flour Mills and Bakeries Co S.A.K., Vlasman removed 60 grain silos over a period of 20 weeks. The silos were to make way for one of the largest grain and flour storage facilities in the world. Because of the desert terrain and the dry, hot climate, the cultivation of food is impossible. That means that most of the Arabian population (about 60 percent) relies on imports. Thanks to the efforts of the employees and equipments of Vlasman B.V. the job was done on time.
