BEESD – In the weekend from week 33 to 34, Vlasman Sloopwerken demolished most of the A2 bridge over the railway at Beesd. The demolition of the bridge at Beesd is to accommodate the widening of the A2. To do this, it is necessary to replace the bridge with a wider one. Vlasman got the contract to demolish the old bridge, after which a new bridge will be built in the same place by Heijmans. In the future, southbound traffic on the A2 will use this bridge. The railway line below had to be closed while the demolition of the arch bridges was done.
